Transportation In and Around Taos

Both shuttle services will pick you up or drop you off just about anywhere around Taos. Taos currently has no working airline going between Taos and Albuquerque International Airport. The shuttle journey takes about three hours between Taos and Albuquerque. That is somewhat variable because of potential stops along the way. However, the drive is about 150 miles and both services are very reliable long term operations that serve thousands of people. Please keep in mind that it is best to call either airport shuttle service early with your travel reservations.

Shuttle service to and from ABQ Airport. Please call for Pickup Times and Reservations. To Albuquerque Airport: Departs Alamosa, Pagosa Springs, San Luis, Antonito, Rio Costillo, Angel Fire, Questa, Red River, Taos Ski Valley, Taos, Espanola and Santa Fe.  From Albuquerque Airport: Departs Northbound cities at 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm, 7 days a week. Pickup shuttle across from baggage claim #3.

Provides Daily Airport Service to and from Albuquerque Sunport for Taos, Santa Fe, Red River, and Angel Fire. Faust’s Transportation also offers Charter Buses, Private Shuttle Express Runs, Custom Transportation Packages and Taxi Service – Taos City Limits, Taos City Limits to Taos Airport, Taos to Taos Ski Valley, Taos to Angel Fire, Taos to Red River. Bus | The Chile Line (575) 751-4459

The Chile Line is a public bus service and runs at half-hour intervals during the day from Ranchos de Taos (south of town) to the Kachina Lodge at the “Y” intersection. A total of 28 stops, cost of 50 cents per person. Since 1997 the Town of Taos Transit System has worked diligently not only to provide a para transit service providing demand response transportation for citizens with Special needs but also that all route busses be ADA equipped.

Airport | Albuquerque Sunport (575) 244-7700

Visit www.taosairport.org  Taos Regional Airport is under the direct supervision of the Town of Taos. The airport is located just a few miles north of the Town of Taos on Highway 64 towards the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. It has a 5,800 foot runway with two approaches, one NDB and one VOC/DME. Visit www.airnav.com/airport/KAXX  Angel Fire Municipal Airport has an 8,900 foot runway maintained by a fixed-base operator. Accommodates corporate and private planes. 30 miles northeast of Taos.  

Airport | Questa Municipal Airport

Questa Municipal Airport, about 30 miles north of Taos, has a 6,800 foot runway limited to small engine planes and one approach. Open 24 hours a day.
